Welcome to Waddell Images. Waddell Images was created in January of 2003 out of our fascination and caring for people, nature, and the environment.
When we photograph a person, we take the time to find out who the person really is. Though we can take those traditional posed shots, we also want to capture a more personal image of the unique individual in front of the camera. For example, if someone loves playing a guitar and being at the ocean, a photograph of them sitting on the beach strumming a guitar would be a much truer likeness of them than just a posed shot in front of a backdrop.
Children forgetting about the photographers and the camera because they are just being themselves while playing is so much more true to who they really are than a photo of your little ones being told to keep still and say "cheese".
When we create environment images such as the two young children holding the Earth on the top of this page, we photograph not only with our cameras, but with our hearts. We photograph with a sense of purpose and caring for our children, grandchildren and all of the other children of the world who depend on us to care about their future lives on this beautiful planet.
When we photograph nature and animals, we just remember what Albert Einstein once said, “Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better”. We have a ways to go before we understand everything better, but we may be closer to the truth in nature, than anywhere else.
